Saving Henry

How many real-life heroes do you know? Not the sports figures we say are heroic in their efforts to hit a ball 400 feet. I mean regular people thrown into tragic circumstances who act selflessly to save someone else? I know two.
Allen Goldberg and Laurie Strongin are the parents of Henry who was born with a terrible disease called Fanconia Anemia. You can read more about their struggle to save their oldest son on Lisa Belkin’s blog and in Laurie’s new book, Saving Henry: A Mother’s Journey.
Allen and Laurie didn’t let the tragedy stop them from helping to bring joy and comfort to other children with chronic illness. They started a lovely organization called Hope for Henry.
Please consider buying Laurie’s book, it would make a great Mother’s Day Present and donating to Hope for Henry.
